Working from home…

So, the whole point of working from home today for me was three-fold:
1. Get an earlier start to the day, refreshed with a little extra sleep.
2. Finish a report I was working on without the usual noise and interruption.
3. Record some on-line voice pieces for an on-line class.

What actually has happened:
1. I went back to bed after feeding Wil and overslept. I didn’t wake up until 8:45! :-O
2. The application that I need to work on the report has been down all morning.
3. Its so warm out that I need the AC on in the house, but the AC is so loud that I can’t do the recordings unless I turn it off.

*sigh*

Beautiful…

Today is such a beautiful day. Perfect July sunshine and a happy baby that after a full belly (and an emptying) was all smiles and giggles. What a great thing to wake up to!

I was a little late heading out the house this am. First I got up later than usual. Trying to peel myself out of bed today was much harder than ususal, I really need to get to bed earlier. Then, I couldn’t tear myslef away from William. He would look at me straight in the eyes and laugh and agoo a few times. I haven’t had a conversation with him in a while so I figured we had some catching up to do so we chatted a little at the changing table and crib. Makes getting up early not such a bad thing!

He’s been a hungry guts lately. At first I thought it was a growth spurt but its then a 3 week growth spurt. He’s chugging 8 ozs every 3 hours. Time to start getting creative and sitting him down more often for “solids”. His little belly needs so much more now than just formula. I’ve also noticed he’s starting to round out more. He was off the charts for height but in the 80th percentile for weight, so he was thin for his length. I think he’s trying to catch up on weight!

Ahh… my little nuggie (short for nugget).

Hell at work…but heaven at home!

Today was one of those days that from the first few minutes the day started I couldn’t wait for 4 pm.

First my co-worker recieved news that his laptop was completely dead and needed a new one so he wouldn’t have it today. Which meant we’d be one person short on our support line. Two managers were on PTO so no questions were being answered and my phone was ringing off the hook while I was bombarded by emails. then at 1 pm I had to do a training session. Oy!
Thank goodness for my little munchkin. He was the bright star of my day. When I picked him up at day care he was my little happy baby — did he grow another few inches today? Sometimes it seems like it!

The in-laws left yesterday. It was an interesting weekend. We celebrated Peter’s B-Day on Sunday with Peter’s parents and his uncle and cousin from Philly. Then we all of a sudden had a tornado warning in the afternoon! It was a muggy day and we knew we were supposed to get T-Storms but nothing like that. We were spared but Peter’s cousin up in Stirling wasn’t. Branches snapped, 70 MPH winds! This is NJ not Kansas!!!

My honey’s B-day is today…

I’m sitting here, waiting for Peter to get home from work. It’s his birthday today.

I think of William and his birthdays to come. Time does pass and he won’t be my little nugget forever.

This same time last year we were in Rincon, Puerto Rico getting ready to go out to dinner at Villa Cofresi. What a beautiful dinner at a restaurant by the beach. After dinner we walked along the edge of the beach, the water was warm as bath water.
Villa Cofresi

Little did I know then that I was already pregnant and how different our life would be in only a year. From childless and strolling along the beach to at home with a beautiful son and a full schedule.

I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

Coming soon…

Not sure what I’ll be posting here but being that for some reason my old blog got corrupted this will be my new “space”
